Sydney, 2021: National law firm McCabe Curwood has been recognised among the best, named finalist in several categories including Law Firm of the Year

McCabe Curwood are finalists across multiple categories in the prestigious Australian Law Awards, hosted by Lawyers Weekly in partnership with UNSW Law & Justice.

The awards are one of the industry’s most competitive, with nominations from law firms and professionals across Australia.

It follows the announcement earlier this month that the firm had placed finalists in the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards.

“I am delighted to see McCabe Curwood shortlisted across six different categories,” said Managing Principal, Andrew Lacey.

“This is a testament to the incredible hard work and efforts of the entire firm in 2020, even while facing the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19.”

McCabe Curwood is a finalist for the following awards: Law Firm of the Year; Innovator of the Year (Company); Managing Partner of the Year, Andrew Lacey; Partner of the Year, Andrew Lacey; Senior Associate of the Year, Helen McHugh; and Dispute Resolution Team of the Year.

Lawyers Weekly deputy editor Jerome Doraisamy said: “The Australian Law Awards is our biggest event of the year, and – following the success of last year’s live-streamed event – it is amazing to be able to celebrate in-person, once again, with legal professionals and teams from all over the country.

“Winners of this awards program gain national recognition and elevate themselves, and their employers, above the pack as leading names in Australia’s legal profession. We can’t wait to see who will take home the trophies this year!”

The winners will be announced in August at a five-star gala dinner in Sydney.
