Sydney, June 2021: McCabe Curwood principals shortlisted in the prestigious Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards.

Managing Principal Andrew Lacey and Principal Marcus Andrews have been named finalists in the annual Partner of the Year Awards, hosted by Lawyers Weekly.

The awards recognise leading legal practitioners across Australia that have excelled during an unprecedented year.

“It is an honour to be named a finalist for the sixth consecutive time in the annual Partner of the Year Awards,” said Lacey.

“This accolade recognises the exceptional work and efforts of our firm, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19.”

Lacey is shortlisted for Dispute Resolution Partner of the Year, and Andrews has been shortlisted for the Real Estate Partner of the Year.

Lawyers Weekly deputy editor, Jerome Doraisamy, said: “The age of coronavirus gave rise to extraordinary burdens for senior lawyers to not only keep their practices above water but also manage new environmental conditions for their respective teams. All such leaders in the profession deserve our respect and admiration for navigating through such choppy waters.”

“We congratulate all the finalists on their remarkable efforts over the past 12 months, and wish them the very best of luck for this year’s awards.”

The winners will be announced in July at a black-tie gala event at The Star, Sydney.
