After starting her career in workers’ compensation where she still maintains an active presence, particularly with stress claims, Sascha now has a large practice relating to the defence of motor vehicle personal injury claims. She has been recognised by her clients and peers as a recommended Defendant CTP and Motor Vehicle Insurance lawyer in Western Australia in the 2018 and 2019 Doyle’s Guides, being the youngest female lawyer in that category.
In her 16 years of working exclusively in insurance law, Sascha has developed impressive expertise in complex and catastrophic claims. Sascha has the conduct of public liability claims involving personal injury and property damage. In addition, her practice involves motor vehicle recovery and medical negligence claims. She has experience in governance and compliance issues arising from the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
Sascha has substantial expertise is in preparing matters that proceed to trial, being the instructing solicitor for many successful District Court trials and Supreme Court Appeals. She frequently prepares for, attends and advocates at informal and pre-trial conferences and attends as Counsel for interlocutory hearings at the District Court.
Outside work, Sascha uses her leadership and management skills as a board member for the Bayswater Childcare Association Management Committee, Treasurer of a P & F Committee, and Chairperson of a running club.
