Reconciliation Action Plan

We stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander peoples.

Overview

McCabes is committed to building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The legal profession has an instrumental role in elevating the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. McCabes must share in this responsibility.

We are proud to officially deliver stage one of McCabes’ Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Developing a RAP is an essential step that demonstrates the continued commitment that we, as a firm, make to contribute to a more equitable Australian society.

Our RAP outlines our pledge to meaningfully contribute to achieving reconciliation. We will do this by building new and existing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and reviewing our internal processes to provide more significant opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

McCabes is committed to building strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The RAP aims to have all of our people engaged with our objectives so that they form an integral part of our identity, actions, and culture.

Design

Our Artwork

Our bespoke RAP design is by Cairns-based Indigenous design and digital agency Ingeous Studios. Ingeous Studios specialise in creating Indigenous designs that are culturally safe and representative of the diversity of Indigenous Australia, drawing inspiration from both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

At the centre of the design is the McCabes Reconciliation Icon (see below), which represents our commitment to reconciliation and shows respect and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and their inherent right as Traditional Owners of the country throughout Australia.
