During our 12-month graduate program, you will work across multiple practice groups. The practical exposure this provides to different areas of law is invaluable, helping you determine which practice you are most passionate about.
You will also be supported in each rotation with an assigned supervisor and a buddy. At the end of each rotation, you will meet with your supervisor and HR for a formal review, which provides an opportunity to discuss your experiences and progress.
Graduates also spearhead Trial By Podcast. You will have an opportunity to delve into the fascinating areas of law we do not commonly think of before scripting and recording episodes for our audience of law students, graduates, industry professionals and business owners.
At the end of the program, a placement in the graduate’s preferred area of practice may be accommodated based on the experience and availability within the firm following qualification.
Each rotation allows approximately ten weeks training in the following areas:
During your rotation, you will meet regularly with your supervisor to discuss your progress. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss your experiences and progress so that you can set objectives for the next rotation.

We want to see you excel and have designed a tailored learning program to ensure you are ready to transition from law graduate to lawyer.
In addition to the practical training gained during your rotations, you will complete your Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law – this includes receiving training in substantive areas of law, such as litigation, and practical skills training in areas involving legal research skills, client interviewing and negotiations.
Further to the tailored learning and development program, graduates are encouraged to attend the regular in-house learning and development seminars hosted by our knowledge team.
To develop your presentation, networking and research skills, graduates will present in-house seminars on topics of their choice that is relevant to the skills of a specific rotation area.
To develop your knowledge skills, regular article publications of a specific topic, relevant to the skills of a specific rotation will be published, through the communications committee.
