McCabes Expands Commercial Employment Group Nationally with Six Appointments

McCabes has announced the expansion of its Employment, Workplace Health and Safety practice group within the firm’s commercial division with the appointment of six practitioners. 

Melini Pillay joins as principal in Sydney, having specialised in WHS litigation, regulatory and compliance advisory, corporate and private equity due diligence, policy development, and executive and board-level advisory across her career.

In McCabes’ Brisbane office, Damian Hegarty has joined the firm in the role of principal, accompanied by Consultant Andrew Ross, Special Counsel Carmen Chapman, Paralegal Thomas Farry, and Legal Secretary Kathryn Healy.

Melini Pillay shared her perspective on her appointment, stating, “It’s certainly an exciting time to take on the role of Principal in the firm’s employment practice group and build on the strong, results-focused reputation that it has gained.”
