Ashley McSweyn

Ashley is an associate in the Financial Lines team at McCabes. She has experience acting in a wide range of commercial and insurance disputes, including professional indemnity, management liability, employment practices liability, directors' and officers' liability, strata disputes, as well as experience acting in inquests and class action proceedings.

Ashley has a strong litigation background and regularly assists clients with complex, large-scale claims involving multiple parties across numerous jurisdictions including NCAT, NSW and ACT state courts, the Fair Work Commission and Australian Federal courts. She frequently advises and acts in the defence of claims against building contractors, strata committees, strata managers, certifiers, local councils, and other providers of professional services.

Ashley holds a Diploma of Law from the Legal Profession Admission Board of NSW and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 13 September 2019.
