Sally Morshead

Sally is a consultant in the Insurance division with more than 20 years of experience in handling complex indemnity issues across property, ISR, machinery, construction risk, professional indemnity, and public liability policies.

Her practice focuses primarily on policy coverage analysis, indemnity disputes, and assessment of claims under first party policies. She also defends multi-party claims involving complex liability apportionment, dual insurance claims and direct claims against insurers.  

Sally has represented insurers, underwriters, and reinsurers across Federal and State Courts and regularly appears at mediations.

Some of her notable decisions include the NSW Court of Appeal's decision of Globe Church Inc v Allianz Australia Insurance Ltd (for the Second Defendant Ansvar) and the recent District Court of NSW decision of Lynch v Bredbo Pty Ltd (for the Cross-Defendant IAL).
