Shaheen Hoosen

Shaheen is an associate in the Government Division at McCabes, specialising in defending personal injury claims. Shaheen has acted for NSW Government agencies in institutional torts, medical negligence and public liability claims.  

Shaheen holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Macquarie University. Shaheen was admitted to practice in 2021.

Shaheen started his career at a community legal centre for refugees, specialising in judicial review of migration decisions by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. Prior to joining McCabes, Shaheen worked at a firm specialising in debt recovery, where Shaheen gained experience in insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings before the Supreme Court of NSW.

At McCabes, Shaheen has previously been seconded to icare in the Dust Diseases team, which has allowed him to gain valuable insight into clients' needs and internal demands.

Shaheen's diverse experience assists him in providing high quality and strategic solutions for his clients.
