McCabes has expanded its office in Brisbane with the appointment of 10 new legal professionals in its Insurance division, strengthening the firm’s Workers’ Compensation, and Casualty practice groups. This growth reflects the firm’s commitment to developing a strong and versatile presence to existing and prospective clients in Queensland.
To accommodate its expanding team and service offerings, McCabes is set to relocate to a larger Brisbane office in March 2025. The new space is designed to support the firm’s growing practice groups while providing a modern and engaging environment for clients.
In the Insurance Division, Principal Jamie McPherson has been appointed to lead the Workers’ Compensation practice group, joined by Special Counsel Robert Parcell, Lawyer Bailey Afa, Senior Paralegal Michael Bannister, Paralegals Annabelle Wall, Joshua Crevola, and Shannon Brown, Executive Legal Assistant Trudi Hart, and Legal Assistant Emily Keating.
Additionally, Lawyer Sarah Hagos has joined the Casualty Practice Group, with new Principal Kim Waygood, who was appointed in 2024.
On his appointment, Jamie said “I am delighted to be joining the McCabes’ team”.
“McCabes strong investment in their people and infrastructure has always impressed me, and I look forward to continuing to grow and learn from their innovative and professional approach to providing legal services”.
Managing Principal Andrew Lacey reinforced the firm’s commitment to national growth.
“A priority for the firm has always been the growth of our national footprint, and strategic additions of forward-thinking experts in Brisbane will provide a wider range of services to our clients in Queensland,” said Andrew Lacey, Managing Principal at McCabes.
