McCabes Lawyers Appoints Michael Bracken as Principal of Financial Services and Financial Institutions Practice Group

We are proud to announce the appointment of Michael Bracken as Principal, to lead a new Financial Services and Financial Institutions practice group within our Commercial division. The appointment strengthens McCabes’ capacity to advise financial institutions and financial services sector clients on sophisticated corporate structuring, corporate advisory, and financial services regulatory and prudential governance, domestically and globally.

Michael is a leading banking and financial services lawyer with nearly four decades of experience advising financial institutions, insurers, banks, mutuals and corporate clients as well as new entrants to the financial services sector. He specialises in corporate structuring, financial product development and innovation and financial services regulation, with particular depth in digital commerce, payments and fintech. His expertise spans the Corporations Act, Insurance Act, Banking Act and ASIC Act, credit law, prudential and APRA compliance, directors’ and officers’ liability and data protection.
