Ben Rissman

Ben is an experienced litigator who specialises in general liability claims, including public liability claims brought under the Wrongs Act 1958, worker to worker compensation claims brought under the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic), as well as recovery claims brought by the Victorian WorkCover Authority.

As part of this work, Ben has acted for a range of insurers and self-insurers, and has acted for clients in industries including manufacturing, retail, cleaning, construction, education, owners' corporations, and horse racing. He is experienced in handling complex multi-party claims, as well as claims relating to catastrophic injury. Ben has also spent time managing litigation with a government department.

Ben has experience in property damage and product liability claims, as well as providing detailed coverage advice to clients.

Ben graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts.

He was admitted to practice in 2016 and was recognised in the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch category for Insurance Law for 2027.
